Sahib Amani is a typey grey colt with a rare Kuhaylan Jellabiyah dam line, tracing to the exceptional mare *Maaroufa. *Maaroufa was bred by Prince Mohamed Ali of Egypt and imported into the United States by Henry Babson.

Sahib Amani's dam Laheebs Desert Star is sired by Laheeb, who has been a great success in the show ring. Laheeb was a four time National Champion Stallion of Israel. In addition to being a remarkable show horse himself, Laheeb's sons and daughters have claimed a host of notable titles including 2010 Israeli National Bronze Champion Stallion, US Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion, World Champion Mare, World Champion Stallion, All-Nations Cup Champion Mare, Namibian National Champion Stallion, and Polish National Champion Stallion.

The sire of Sahib Amani is the famous Qatari bred stallion Laheeb Al Nasser. Laheeb Al Nasser spent a significant portion of his breeding career at DeShazer Arabians in Houston, Texas. In 2012 he was sold to Hanaya Stud of Switzerland. Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful Straight Egyptian stallions in the world today, Laheeb Al Nasser is sired by World Champion stallion Al Adeed Al Shaqab and out of World Reserve Champion mare Bint Saida Al Nasser. Laheeb Al Nasser has subsequently sired many of his own international champions.
