Laheeb's Desert Star is a beautiful and substantial grey mare with a rare Kuhaylan Jellabiyah dam line, tracing to the exceptional mare *Maaroufa. *Maaroufa was bred by Prince Mohamed Ali of Egypt and imported into the United States by Henry Babson.

Laheeb's Desert Star's sire Laheeb has been a great success in the show ring. Laheeb is a four time National Champion Stallion of Israel. In addition to being a remarkable show horse himself, Laheeb's sons and daughters have claimed a plethora of notable titles including 2010 Israeli National Bronze Champion Stallion, US Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion, World Champion Mare, World Champion Stallion, All-Nations Cup Champion Mare, Namibian National Champion Stallion, and Polish National Champion Stallion.

The dam of Laheeb's Desert Star, Desert Aura, is sired by the accomplished stallion El Hadiyyah, owned by Bryant Arabians of California for most of his life. While at Bryant Arabians, El Hadiyyah sired many excellent quality foals including the exotic stallion Shaheen, sold to Omar Sakr of Egypt.
