By the time the photo
shoot was well under
way, it had drawn
a small crowd of
observers
including
students, visitors to
the college and abbey,
and even the current
abbot (Abbot Barnabas
Senecal, OSB) looked
in on the proceedings.
But the day’s events
culminated
when
Abbot Owen, who
originally made the
project possible, walked
out onto the lawn and
happily
announced
to all “It’s my 80th
birthday!” Not only was
Abbot Owen able to
attend the photo shoot
on a day he previously
suggested might not
come, but he looked
very well spry enough
to see his 90th too!
