Ansata Hejazi was one of very few stallions that had a specific combination of traits that are particularly hard to find in straight Egyptian Arabian horses; truly large black eyes, fountain shaped, straight tail carriage, and exceptionally good motion both in front and from behind. Additionally, he was well balanced and had an excellent disposition. Ansata Hejazi was one of three full siblings ( Ansata Nefertiti, Ansata Nefara, and Ansata Hejazi ) from one of the most consistent and powerful crosses in the Ansata herd; Ansata Halim Shah x Ansata Sudarra. Don Forbis once commented that Ansata Hejazi moved very much like his dam’s sire Ansata Abu Sudan. Additionally, when one studies images of Ansata Abu Sudan, his daughter Ansata Sudarra, and her son Ansata Hejazi, the resemblances are many. Hejazi was a special horse, and a personal favorite of mine within the Ansata herd. In 1999, Ansata Hejazi was exported to Mr. Mohammed Jassin Al Marzouk's Ajmal Arabian Stud of Kuwait, where has has left a positive and lasting impression on the breed.
